A perfectly valid question, considering all of the efforts to be more green and save the planet. But apparently not. Dex from The Straight Dope consulted three dentists who said that although it was “theoretically possible” to recycle dentures, the don’t know anyone who actually does it. One of the dentists said it wasn’t practical — since dentures are usually custom made to fit one individual’s mouth, and since they are made of molded plastic, recycling them would be hard.
