Mini-dental implants are metal posts that are surgically positioned in the jawbone beneath the gum. The top of the posts affix to your dentures, which cause them to stay firmly in place.

The installation of dental implants requires only one surgery, unlike regular dental implants which can require several operations over a period of months. Dr. DeGrado likens the installation of mini-dental implants to getting a filling.

Mini-dental implants cost as little as $2,000 — a significant savings over the cost of regular dental implants which can cost tens of thousands of dollars.

A number of Orlando and central Florida area dentists (include my practice) offer dental implants. They’re definitely worth considering if you’re on a budget and want a new solution to the challenges of loose dentures.

His team experimented with coating titanium implants with “Bonelike”, a synthentic material. X-rays before and after the implants showed bone growth around the implants and no bone loss in surrounding regions of the jaw.
