Portuguese scientist J.D. Santos has recently completed a study of a new synthetic bone material which, when applied to titanium dental implants, appears to accelerate bone growth improving the odds of dental implant success.

New chemical-based research is presently underway to developĀ better and more efficient ways to ensure dental implant success. These methods involve using amino acids and specialized molecules that speed bone growth around the implant and make the connection between implant and bone stronger and longer lasting.
