Denture Liner Kit for Securing Loose Dentures
New Jersey inventor Terrance Weber has developed a denture liner kit which offers a do-it-yourself, inexpensive method for helping people with loose dentures. Although I havent’ seen the system in use, it may be worth considering if you’re trying to make a set of loose dentures last longer.
The liner is a flexible, soft, putty-like material that is manually molded by hand to fit the shape of your denture wherever it will touch the gums or other parts of the skin in your mouth. After applying the liner to the denture, you place it in your mouth and apply pressure for final fit. You then remove the denture from your mouth, apply a small amount of adhesive powder. Clean the denture with water, and then you’re finished. You can remove the liner when you clean your denture each day and then either re-use it or replace it with a new liner.
The Weber denture liner kit comes with the adhesive, instructions, and four liners for $18.95. Additional packages of 10 denture liners can be purchased for $29.
Like I mentioned earlier, I haven’t seen the system in use. And while I definitely won’t say that Terrance Weber’s web site looks as safe as a Amazon.com, sometimes smaller companies have products that haven’t made it to the regular market yet that are worth considering. The web site does provide more information about the product as well as reviews from his customers.
It’s probably a good idea to consult with your dentist before you use a product such as this on your dentures (you don’t want to do anything to damage them!) Before recommending it to my Orlando-area denture customers, I’d be interested in hearing any feedback you have to share about the product.
