    New ‘Wii’-Like System Helps Make Dentures

    SensAble Technlogies has introduced a 3-D touch-enabled modeling system that can be used to design dentures. The SensAble Dental Lab System is an integrated solution that allows dentists to scan, design and fabricate partial dentures and common dental restorations.

    The unit is affectionately referred to by the company as the “Dental Wii” because like the popular video game system, it offers a unique touch technology that allows dentists and lab technicians to “fell” the on-screen image — and work naturally and directly with a computer-based system as they do when using traditional techniques.
